The Joy Formidable have released new fifteen minute song âShare My Heatâ. âItâs a song about true connection and loveâ, says frontwoman Ritzy Bryan. âDeep, selfless love between humans is a beautiful part of our existence, but Iâm also singing about our inherent love of nature, the living world and our kinship to everything: plants, animals, mountains and water. Folly Group have announced that they will release their debut album âDown Thereâ on 12 Jan 2024. Out now is new single âBig Groundâ. âThe basic concept of this song is life filling you with so much anxiety and dread that you would rather you didnât exist at all - youâd rather be swallowed by the groundâ, says frontman Louis Milburn of the song. âIn a way itâs sort of celebrating this fact, because once you know this deep down inside you can start to let go of these anxieties because after a while you face so many that they start to matter lessâ.

O. have released âSliceâ, the first single from their debut EP of the same name, which is set for release on 24 Nov. âWe wrote âSliceâ as soon as we got back from our gig and week in Recife, Brazilâ, says drummer Tash Keary. âOne of the things we loved about carnival was the amount of energy and buzz that goes into the music, and âSliceâ is us taking that approach with our own songsâ. The duo have also announced UK tour dates in February and March next year.

Gag Salon have released new single âFishyman Pt 1 (Flip Flop)â. Speaking about the song, frontman Joseph Mumford says: âA very popular boy I went to school with suddenly stopped coming in one day. Weeks went by with nobody hearing from him until one fateful day, a girl came shrieking into assembly, screaming that sheâd heard his voice coming from the toilet bowl - he was singing. This song is kind of my own interpretation of what might have happened to himâ.

Next year's BRIT Awards will take place on 2 Mar, it has been announced, taking place again on a Saturday, following this yearâs shift to the weekend from its usual school night slot. "The move to a Saturday night for the first time proved to be a huge success, so I'm delighted we'll be back in a primetime slot again in Marchâ, says Warner Musicâs Damian Christian, who again acts as Chair of the BRIT Committee. âA Saturday night show helped us lock in our most engaged audience ever and we'll be looking to build on that base as we connect with even more fans in 2024â.
